1958 Jaguar XK150

The Jaguar XK150 was manufactured from 1957 to 1961, and was the third and final variation of the extremely popular XK range of Jaguars. The XK range, which started in 1948 with the XK120, also saw several variations throughout its lifespan, including the XK150’s predecessor, the XK140 that began in 1954. Jaguar’s answer to the BMW and Mercedes models of the day, the 1958 Jaguar XK150 received very few cosmetic changes; primary changes were in both the suspension and performance of the car. The Jaguar XK150, which appealed to affluent luxury sports car buyers of the time, was offered as a coupe, a convertible and a roaster. The coupe was a hardtop that seated two or three people and was often referred to as the Fixed Head Coupe (FHC). The convertible, on the other hand, offered seating for two or three and was called the Drop Head Coupe (DHC). The roadster, one of the most popular versions, was an open two-seater (OTS) and did not offer a rear seat.

1958 Jaguar XK150 Seller’s Guide

The 1958 Jaguar XK150 also featured a number of exterior and interior changes from its XK140 predecessor. For example, the XK140 featured a flat, divided windshield, while the XK150 now offered a single curved piece of glass. Red parking lights were also added on top of the fenders, reportedly so drivers could tell they were on. Inside door handles, roll-up windows and thinner doors were also offered, and were said to increase cabin room to create a more comfortable and luxurious environment for both drivers and passengers.
