Model-year 1963 was the last run of the Porsche 356B before the launch of the final 356 variation, the 356C. It was also the last year to purchase the popular Roadster body style, as it was later discontinued. Combinations could be made of the following: a Coupe, Cabriolet, Roadster or Hardtop Coupe paired with a 1600, 1600 S, 1600 S 90 or 2000 GS engine. Perhaps one of the most noted engines to be associated with the 356 line is the Super 90. With a 0 to 60 time of less than 10 seconds, the car was renowned for being fast and powerful. The engine also had a unique oil pick up system that allowed cars to ensure lubrication at all times, even around tight racing corners. You can identify a Super 90 car by the “90” badge on its rear. Because the 1963 Porsche 356 is part of the T-6 body type, owners will notice the slightly different roofline (due to larger windows), the larger engine lid, a twin grille, a squared off front hood, an air intake at the base of the windshield, and a gas filler trap on the right fender.
