Buying or Selling a De Tomaso Pantera?

De Tomaso Pantera
De Tomaso Pantera

The De Tomaso Pantera succeeded to the Mangusta model and was revealed at the New York Auto Show in 1970. The Pantera was a mid-engine supercar made for the American market and distributed by Ford. Ghia handled styling while the body was supplied by Vignale in Turin and assembled by the DeTomaso factory in Modena. In order to make the engine more reliable, the Pantera was fitted with Ford components and powered by a high-output version of the 5.7-liter V8 linked to a 5-speed ZF transaxle. Horsepower was rated at 330 for the European market models, 310 for the American version and dropped to 250 hp by 1973 due to stricter emissions regulations. The De Tomaso Pantera stayed in production until 1992 and was the top selling model of the brand.
