1968 Lamborghini 400 GT

Launched in 1966 and produced until 1968, the Lamborghini 400 GT was a 2+2 sports car that succeeded to the first Lamborghini model, the 350 GT. Towards the end of its production run, 23 models of the 350 GT were built with the 4-liter engine and were named 400 GT at the time. When the actual and new Lamborghini 400 GT model was introduced in 1966, it was referred to as the 400 GT 2+2. Compared to its predecessor, the 1968 Lamborghini 400 GT boasted completely revised bodywork designed by Touring. The new model accommodated 2 bucket seats in the back and used all different panels although both cars looked very much alike. The 1968 Lamborghini 400 GT can be recognized by its four headlights, scaled-back rear window and higher roof line. The 4-liter V12 featured 6 Weber carburetors and produced a satisfying 320 hp, boosting top speed to 160 mph.
