Buying or Selling a 1962 AC Ace?

1962 AC Ace

1962 represented the second-to-last year of production for the AC Ace—before the ubiquitous AC Cobra succeeded it. 1962 also represented the final version of three generations of performance—moving from an initial configuration of a 2-liter, straight six-unit to a Bristol, 120 horsepower engine in 1956. In 1961, the third iteration was released, with AC placing a 2.6-liter unit that had been previously used on the Ford Zephyr. Some of these final AC Aces were tuned to up to 170 horsepower, with top speeds nearing 130 mph (and 0-to-60 times around 8 seconds). Equipped with overdrive and disc brakes, the 1961 AC Ace was well ahead of its time, and coupled with a light chassis, tubular frame and all independent transverse leaf spring system it made for an excellent handling machine.
