Selling a 1965 BMW 700

1965 BMW 700

The humble 1965 BMW 700 was the last production year of the car that is single-handedly responsible for the existence of BMW as we know it today. While not particularly rare or exclusive, not particularly powerful or fast, the BMW 700 was the perfect car for its time- timing that BMW would eventually turn into a habit. However, before the 700 and its success, BMW was threatened by absorption into another car company- Mercedes-Benz. Only the arrival of the 700 line and the intervention of an investor by the name of Herbert Quandt saved BMW from the hostile takeover attempt. While this may sound like a bad, car company-themed soap opera, the economic climate in Germany was so poor that business became an extremely cutthroat affair, even by today’s standards. Why, even BMW, after it had reestablished itself, devoured and subsumed several smaller, local car companies. However, BMW did hire all the engineers from those companies, being rather very understaffed, and so in a way, those smaller companies never went away.

1965 BMW 700 Seller’s Guide

By the point of the 1965 BMW 700, the 700 line-up was swelled with more than several variations and configurations, such as the Luxus saloon, LS coupe, CS sport, convertible, and so forth, each of which vary wildly in value and rarity from one another, with the LS coupe being the most rare. Due to its wide appeal, availability, and variety, the 700 has a tendency to attract people who may be a bit newer to the classic car market than most. As a result, you may have to deal with inexperienced and uninformed buyers, who might not understand the process or idiosyncrasies present in the classic car market that don’t exist in the normal car trade. There is, however, a way to avoid this additional stress: contact Alex Manos, if you’re considering selling.

Alex Manos and his team are experienced professionals who know the classic car market intimately, and can give you a stunningly accurate value assessment of your vehicle- and then offer you that amount in sweet, sweet cash. If you want a hassle-free selling experience, give Alex Manos a call!
