Selling an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Berlina

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Berlina

First debuted in 1954, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was first launched as a Sprint coupe 2+2 designed by Bertone with a 1,290cc four-cylinder engine capable of offering owners 65hp. In April of the following year, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Berlina sedan would appear. A four-door sedan with the same mechanicals as the Sprint, the Berlina offered a longer wheelbase and a reduced 53hp from the same engine. At the same time, a Pininfarina-designed Spider cabriolet was released in prototype form and would be introduced as a production car at the Turin Motor Show of the following year. It would also use the same mechanicals as the Sprint, yet would offer a 50mm shorter wheelbase and lacked the metal roof. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Berlina would see approximately 39,057 units produced throughout production (1965) and would be a popular option with buyers that appreciated the styling and curvature of the Giulietta range, yet wanted something practical. It was a true contender in the sedan market during this era.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Berlina Seller’s Guide

Because of the various Giulietta models that were produced over the years, if you’re considering selling an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Berlina – or any Alfa classic – it is imperative that you have a full understanding of what you have. While Sprint and Spider values have increased to above entry-level price tags over the years, the Berlina remains an affordable entry into classic Alfa ownership. You can rest assured knowing that there will be interest in your Alfa, as these classics are becoming more and more desirable over time. However, condition is key. Potential buyers who are educated on Alfa classics will know how prone to rust these Italian cars can be. Always be prepared to let serious buyers perform a pre-purchase inspection to ensure they understand the overall condition of your classic. Furthermore, buyers will be looking for a Giulietta Berlina in the best and most original condition they can. It is also important to note any additional parts or body panels that may be included in the sale, as parts can be difficult and expensive to find and would certainly be a selling feature for someone looking for a quality restoration candidate.
