Offering an all-aluminum body with a 2.6L DOHC inline six-cylinder engine, the 1952 Aston Martin DB2 Fixed-Head Coupe (and other model-years) would become the company’s first successful post-war production car. Presented to the public at the 1950 New York Motor Show, the Aston Martin DB2 was produced from 1950 to 1953, although several prototypes were designed and built for the 1949 24 Hours of Le Mans race. In total, little more than 400 examples would be built, of which approximately 309 were Coupe versions. A Drophead Coupe would also be available, but would see quite limited production. The Aston Martin DB2 classic was also available to buyers in standard tune or in a performance-based Vantage tune, which gave additional horsepower via a number of engine upgrades. The 1952 Aston Martin DB2 Fixed-Head Coupe is also notable for having a tiny top-hinged trunk at the back that contained the spare tire. Luggage space was available behind the front seats, yet was only accessible through the main cabin. If you’re the owner of a 1952 Aston Martin DB2 Fixed-Head Coupe or Drophead Coupe and are interested in selling, you’ve come to the right place to learn more!
