1978 Aston Martin V8

The production of the Aston Martin V8 was interrupted for a long period of time between 1974 and 1976 due to some financial difficulties within the company. Only 976 examples were produced until the introduction of a much-appreciated improved version, called the Oscar India AMV8. The new car was unveiled in October 1978 and featured a blanked off bonnet scoop, sporting burr walnut trim, rear wings and a re-designed boot lid. The most examples of Aston Martin V8 were Oscar India models, many of which came with left hand drive, adapted for the American market. Aston Martin also released a long awaited Volante version of the AM V8 in 1978. The new Convertible featured power operated fully lined hood that was considered very luxurious for the era. No matter what type of 1978 Aston Martin V8 you own, or its condition, the Alex Manos team would like to speak with you.

1978 Aston Martin V8 Seller’s Guide

If you’re considering selling a 1978 Aston Martin, requesting the help and advice of a classic Aston Martin expert can benefit you in many ways. Depending on the time of year they were built, 1978 models have a lot of particularities, each example being extra unique as it was hand-built. Buyers will be looking closely at the history and all documentation available on the car, such as the Certificate of Authenticity, the original handbook, warranty book and service books – if available. The more information you give about your classic, the better you’ll retain the interest of potential buyers and the more value it can add to the car. Of course these are just a few of the seller’s tips that Alex Manos and his team recommend with selling a 1978 Aston Martin V8.
