1970 Lamborghini Espada

The Lamborghini Espada is a 4-seater GT launched in 1968 and was Lamborghini’s most famous model to date. The Espada was designed by Bertone and penned by Marcello Gandini, inspired by the Marzal show car. Smooth curve starting from the front fender lines met the almost horizontal roofline and the circular quad headlamps gave harmony to the front end. Bolted to a 5-speed gearbox, the front-mounted 4-liter V12 made the driving experience quite pleasing. Introduced in 1970, the series II models featured a more refined steering wheel, a cleaner dashboard, vented brakes, a revised grille, and 25 additional horsepower. The Lamborghini Faena replaced the GT after a 10-year production run.
