Buying or Selling a 1966 Maserati Sebring?
Launched in 1962 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Maserati Sebring was named after the manufacturer’s victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring race. The model was produced until 1969 and made available in three different engine capacities: a 3.5-liter, a 3.7-liter, and a 4-liter. Two series of Sebring were offered, the series I being produced until 1965, and the series II between 1965 and 1969. The design of the 1966 Maserati Sebring series II was revised with cues borrowed from the contemporary Quattroporte. The main changes included redesigned headlamps and turn signals, side grilles replacing the lower extraction vents, and squared off rear bumpers. The 2+2 GT was designed by Vignale for an American wealthy clientele and equipped with an automatic transmission—never seen on an Italian GT before— as well as a luxurious and comfortable interior.
