Selling a Rolls Royce Phantom III

Rolls Royce Phantom III

The first new car from Rolls Royce Ltd. following the death of Henry Royce, the Rolls Royce Phantom III was also the last larger Rolls brought out before World War II. It could reasonably be suspected then, that the Phantom III suffered due to these trying circumstances. But Rolls Royce simply wasn’t willing to be kept down. Bearing a massive engine designed by the late founder, the Phantom III could bring to bear a whopping 160 horsepower by way of a 7.3-liter twelve-cylinder engine unprecedented in the history of the company and rare in the world at large.

Other daring new additions were a set of dual electric pumps to draw fuel from the tank more efficiently and a new independent front suspension based on a design by General Motors. The Phantom III was in some ways a farewell to the old 40/50s and old Rolls Royce, but in others it embodied the manufacturer seizing the reins and charging into the future.

Rolls Royce Phantom III Seller’s Guide

Special histories can do more than you might think to modify the value of a classic car. In the case of the Rolls Royce Phantom III, there are examples like the black and yellow model driven by Auric Goldfinger in the eponymous James Bond film “Goldfinger”. This why research is key with classic cars; sentimentality is just as important as mechanical quality. Now imagine the chagrin if someone were to sell such an iconic car for well below its worth without even realizing it. Sometimes these deals aren’t well documented, and depending on how you came upon your car, you might have no idea. The difference between a more obscure Phantom III and one with special history could be astronomical pricewise. Thus, you should always do your research.

There is another option however: Alex Manos. The knowledge he and his associated have at their disposable really is baffling and they can help you identify the true value of your car. Give them a call soon! They’re waiting on you.
