Despite some delay in picking up the 1987 Carrera Targa due to the transporter truck’s mechanical problems, the cross country (from Florida to California) transaction was pleasant. It might sound strange to say that the most difficult part of this transaction for me who has pre-existing back pain is bending/twisting the body to take pictures of the interior of a small sport car. I am from the western part of Michigan and was on-line researching forums for information on how to remove the airbox from my 74 911 Porsche Targa when I saw an ad from a classic car dealer. Out of curiosity, I thought I would give Alex a call and see how low of an offer he would make as this car was not running and would need a lot of work. As he had asked, I took about 8 or 10 pictures and texted them to him. The next day he called me with an offer. We were able to split the difference from what I thought the car was worth and what he wanted to pay.
