Often considered part of the “second-generation” of the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500, the 1951 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 is part of the post-war variation of the range. Prior to the war only a few hundred models were produced. After the war, the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 would launch onto the scene as Alfa’s newest offering with an increased 2,433cc six-cylinder engine and a race-proven chassis and improved fuel delivery system. The Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 also holds the distinction of being the company’s first production car to reach top speeds in excess of 100mph and the last to offer separate body and frame construction. These “second-generation,” post-war models would continue to offer the same basic running gear, but would add a new and improved chassis, column-mounted shifter and four-speed manual transmission. Body styles included a five-passenger Berlina Sedan, a four-to-five passenger Cabriolet and a two-passenger Cabriolet. Buyers also had the option of upgrading the engine and power. Turismo, Super Sport and race-read Tipo levels were among the options.

1951 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Seller’s Guide

If you’re thinking about selling your 1951 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500, there are several models that command higher values than others – simply due to their rarity. The 6C 2500 Freccia d’Oro, of which only 680 models were produced, is one example. Similarly, the triple-carbureted Villa d’Este, which saw just 36 models built, is another example. The Alex Manos team, a Los Angeles classic car dealership with a reputation for fair and honest car deals, is always looking for classic 6C 2500 models to add to their growing inventory of European and American classics. Whether you have a 6C 2500 in need of complete restoration, one that you’ve started and simply can’t finish, or a mint-condition original, you can rest assured knowing that there are buyers out there waiting to add this classic to their collection. Let the Alex Manos team help you find a new home for your Alfa Romeo today.
